Pharmaciae Sacrum

Op woensdag 5 februari 2020 wordt de 138e Dies Natalis feestelijk geopend op het wetenschappelijk symposium van Pharmaciae Sacrum. Als huidig onderwerp heeft de Dies commissie voor het sprankelende onderwerp DIESign gekozen, wat een heel boeiende invulling van deze speciale dag van de studievereniging laat verwachten. Er worden sprekers van verschillende disciplines verwacht, die ervoor zullen zorgen dat het symposium een breed spectrum aan onderwerpen zal belichten. Nadat de Dies Natalis en het Symposium zijn geopend zal prof. dr. Martina Schmidt als dagvoorzitter een korte inleiding geven. Dan zal als eerste van het zestal sprekers prof. dr. Erik Frijlink (directeur GRIP) spreken over het ontwerpen van een nieuw geneesmiddel, met daarbij het griepvaccin als voorbeeld gebruikend. Aansluitend zal prof. dr. Olaf Dekkers (internist en epidemioloog) na een korte pauze met koffie en thee vertellen in zijn verhaal over “Geneesmiddelen, onderzoek en onzekerheid” het design vanuit farmaceutisch oogpunt terug laten komen. Voor de volgende pauze begint, zal prof. dr. Jacques Neefjes ons inzicht geven hoe doxorubicine met nieuwe technologieën opnieuw toegepast kan worden in de behandeling van kanker. Na de lunchpauze zal dr. Timothy Noël spreken over een nieuw apparaat dat het concept van luminescent solar concentrator integreert met photomicroreactors. Voor de laatse pauze begint, zal prof. dr. Nico van de Merbel vertellen over farmaceutisch Design vanuit het oogpunt van de bioanalyse. Hij zal zijn kennis combineren met zijn nevenfunctie bij PRA. Tenslotte zal dr. Matt Bowden vertellen over het perspectief van de industrie op de BZP ervaring in Nieuw-Zeeland en over “ease” als vervanging van ecstasy. Na de sluiting van het symposium zal er worden genoten van een borrel op locatie.

Het programma is hier te vinden. Voor ziekenhuisapothekers zal de accreditatie 5 punten bedragen, voor openbare apothekers zal de accreditatie 4,5 punten bedragen. Leden van Pharmaciae Sacrum kunnen zich op deze pagina of op het P.S.-hok aanmelden. Niet-leden en alumni van P.S. kunnen zich aanmelden via dit aanmeldingsformulier. Inschrijven voor het symposium kan t/m zondag 2 februari 2020.

Het symposium vindt plaats in Pathé Groningen, Gedempte Zuiderdiep 78, 9711 HL te Groningen. Vanaf 09:00 uur is de inloop met koffie en thee. Om 09:30 uur zal het symposium aanvangen. De kosten voor het symposium bedragen €100,- voor niet-leden. De kosten voor het symposium voor alumni van G.F.S.V. ''Pharmaciae Sacrum'' bedragen €40,-.

Voor leden die de cursus FaTEM volgen is het symposium verplicht. Deze leden hoeven zich niet aan te melden.

On Wednesday 5th of 2020 the 138th Dies Natalis will be opened at the Scientific Symposium of Pharmaciae Sacrum. As current topic the Dies committee has chosen the sparkling subject DIESign. This has to expect a very interesting interpretation of this special day for the association. Speakers from different disciplines, who will ensure that the symposium will highlight a broad spectrum of topics, are expected. After the Dies Natalis and the symposium are opened, prof. dr. Martina Schmidt will give an introduction to this day as chairman. Then prof. dr. Erik Frijlink (head of GRIP) will be the first of the six speakers and tell us about the design of a new drug, with the flu vaccine as example. After a short break with coffee and tea, prof. dr. Olaf Dekkers (internist and epidemiologist) will tell us about the design from a pharmaceutical point of view in his story about “Drugs, research and uncertainty”. Before the lunch break starts, prof dr. Jacques Neefjes will give us insight into how doxorubicine can be used in the treatment of cancer with the help of new technologies. After the lunch break dr. Timothy Noël will speak about a new device which integrates luminescent solar concentrator with photomicroreactors. Thereafter prof. dr. Nico van de Merbel will tell us about farmaceutical design from a bioanalytic point of view. He will combine his knowledge with his ancillary function at PRA. After the last break with coffee and tea dr. Matt Bowden will give us insight in the industry perspective on BPZ experience in New Zealand and speak about a substitution for street ecstasy. The symposium will be closed and afterwards you can enjoy a drink on location.

You can register for the symposium until Sunday 2 February 2020.

The symposium will take place at Pathé Groningen, Gedempte Zuiderdiep 78, 9711 HL in Groningen. From 9.00 am we will welcome you with coffee and tea. The symposium will start at 9.30 am. The costs are €100,00 for non-members, and €40,00 for alumni of G.F.S.V “Pharmaciae Sacrum”.

​The symposium is compulsory for students who take the FaTEM course. These students do not have to register.
