Did you know that older adults often respond differently to medications compared to younger people? Aging affects how the body processes drugs, making older patients a “special” population in pharmacotherapy. Understanding these differences is essential to provide safe and effective treatment. The evidence-based guidance for this group is still evolving as we speak.
On the 13th of June from 13:00 to 14:30, the lunch lecture about differences in drug responses in older patients will take place. Lunch starts at 13:00, after which Dr. Priya Vart will dive deeper into why this group deserves special attention and where we stand with current research.
There are 50 places available. If more than 50 people sign up a draw will be held on Friday, June 6.
Do you want to let this activity count for 'Professioneel en Academisch Handelen' or 'Professionalism in Pharmacy 1 or 2'? Click on ‘join’. After that, type ‘yes’ and for which course. If you don’t want to let the activity count, type ‘no’. 50% of the spots will be reserved for students from PAH and ProPharm 1 and 2. The other 50% will be divided between the other students. In addition, note in the remarks whether you want a lunch and thereby if you have allergies.
