On Wednesday 16th February of 2022 the Scientific Symposium will take place. As a current topic, the Lustrum Committee has chosen ‘Therapy in a new Light’ as theme. This is expect to be a very interesting day for the association. Speakers from different disciplines, who will ensure that the symposium will highlight a broad spectrum of topics, are expected. After the opening of the symposium by the Lustrum Committee and the 140th board, drs. Edgard Weening will give an introduction to this day as chairman. Then prof. dr. Hans Langedijk will be the first of seven speakers, who will tell us about proton therapeutics. After a short break, dr. Lars Perk (managing director of Radboud Translational Medicine) will tell us about the production of radionuclides and discuss challenges and the developments in different production routes of radionuclides. Before the lunch break starts, prof dr. Johannes de Boer will give us insight into how light can be used as a tracer in the diagnostic of cancer. After the lunch break dr. Simone Dalm will speak about theranostics, target-mediated radionuclide imaging and treatment in cancer. Thereafter dr. Marjolijn Lub-de Hooge will tell us about radiopharmaceuticals in the hospital pharmacy and personalised medicine. After the last break with coffee and tea, Prof. dr. Rob Coppes will give us insight into the response and rescue of tissue to radiotherapy. The symposium will be closed.

The program can be found here. The accreditation will be 4.5 points for hospital pharmacists and 4.5 points for public pharmacists. Members (students and alumni) can sign up via this page. Non-members of P.S. can register via the registration form. You can register for the symposium until Sunday the 13th of February 2022.
