On Thursday the 8th of June, our second and last lunch lecture of the year will take place. The topic will be ‘Psychedelics’. Robert Schoevers is the lead researcher of a study at the UMCG, which analyses the effects of psychedelics as a treatment for adult patients with therapy-resistant depression. He, or one of his colleagues from his research team, will tell us something about this topic during the lecture. Psychedelics are substances that temporarily alter your consciousness and perception. These kinds of substances are also known to be used as party drugs. However, these drugs are gaining interest in the field of mental disorders like posttraumatic stress disorder and depression. So, if you want to learn more about this interesting topic, definitely join the lecture!

The symposium will start at 13.00h with lunch, after which the lecture will begin. It will end at 14.30h at the latest. There are 50 places available. If more than 50 people sign up a draw will be held on Thursday, June 1.
