Pharmaciae Sacrum

On Thursday the 9th of May the ‘Onderwijsmiddag’ will take place. The theme of this event is ‘Pharmacy in the future’. We will start with a lunch at 12:30h in the hall 3211.0020. At 13:30h two PhD-students from the department ‘Genetics’, Joram Mooiweer and Renée Moerkens, will tell us something about their promotion research. They are developing an organ-on-a-chip, at which they are imitating circumstances in your body. At 14:30h Simon Latumalea has been invited to speak. At the end VVD-politician Arno Rutte will tell us something about his vision on the healthcare in the future.

On 16:00h the Teacher-of-the-Year election will take place. The Onderwijsmiddag will take place in room 3111.0002. You can sign up here for the ‘Onderwijsmiddag’.

Op donderdag 9 mei zal de Onderwijsmiddag plaatsvinden. Het thema van deze middag is ‘Farmacie in de toekomst’. De middag begint met een lunch om 12:30 uur in hal 3211.0020, waarna we om 13:30 uur zullen starten met twee PhD-studenten van de afdeling Genetica uit het UMCG, Joram Mooiweer en Renée Moerkens die komen spreken over hun promotieonderzoek. Zij zijn bezig met het ontwikkelen van een organ-on-a-chip. Op deze chip worden de omstandigheden van het lichaam nagebootst. Hiervan wordt verwacht dat het in de toekomst een grote rol gaat spelen bij het onderzoek in de ontwikkeling naar geneesmiddelen voor verschillende ziektes. Om 14:30 uur komt Simon Latumalea spreken over zijn ervaringen als apotheker met het oog op het papierloos werken in de apotheek. Tot slot komt VVD-politicus Arno Rutte om 15:15 uur iets vertellen over zijn visie op de gezondheidszorg in de toekomst. 

Om 16:00 uur zal de Docent-van-het-Jaar verkiezing plaatsvinden en wordt de bokaal uitgereikt aan de winnaar van deze titel van dit jaar. Deze prijs zal worden uitgereikt aan de beste bachelordocent, masterdocent en practicumdocent. De Onderwijsmiddag vindt plaats in lokaal 3111.0002.
